Thank You
A sincere heartfelt
thank you is definitely in order to all the people who helped with this project. To Bucky,
Randy and Melissa Meadows, I hope we can work together forever. Thanks to Andrea Foster
and Cris Neuman at Border Books and Music for being such great jazz patrons and for
keeping the gig alive. All the co-producers are very special people because their
collaboration and dedication is the sole reason that we are finished. It took a while but
we did it! So to all the investors -- Jim, Gordon, Ladelle, Stuart, Richard, Angela, and
Nelson -- Thank You Very Much! Thanks to Donna and Whitecliff Condos in Spicewood, Texas,
for being so hospitable. Tom Cummings' back never felt so good after the 4-am jacuzzi
treatment! The biggest thanks, of course, goes to my wife, Gretchen, not only for putting
up with all of Holter's stuff, but for providing all the meals for the sessions at
Pedernales. All of us have to agree, that was kick-ass grub, Gretchen! If you're ever in
Spicewood, Texas, check out the Hilltop Restaurant on Route 71. It's the next best thing
to Gretchen's cookin'! Thanks to Freddie and Lisa at Pedernales Studios for being so
gracious and accommodating. I dig checking out all of Willie's Gold Records all over the
wall. I also liked hangin' at Bucky's pad. Muchos Gracious to Larry Greenhill for his
expert engineering and patience. We had to finish the project in San Marcos because the
head on the Sony Digital Machine went out. Hey, Larry, thanks for driving to San Marcos to
finish the project. Thanks to Bobby Arnold, Engineer and Professor of Sound Recording
Technology at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, for continually
sharing his mastery and expertise during many late night sessions. Hey, Bobby, your
cappucino and Cafe de Corte are happenin'. Great jokes, too. Thanks to Mark Richardson,
who is head of the Sound Recording Technology Department at Firestation Studios at SWTSU.
Your flexibility and consideration is really appreciated and your Program at SWTSU is
great! Thanks also to Teresa Brummett for all your studio help. Thanks to Jerry Tubb at
Terra Nova Digital Audio in Austin, Texas. Hey, Jerry, it's obvious the reason you're such
a fine mastering engineer is because you're a jazzer! Dan Westerman has a truly great eye
for photography and his photos prove it! Thanks, Dan!! What can I say about Chris Weigand
except that he is the Stratocaster of Graphic Art and Design. Yo, Weigand, you're the
man!! Thanks to David Sadler at Birraporetti's Restaurant for keeping Jazz alive. Thanks
to Steve Scalet at CRT in Whites Creek, Tennessee, and thanks to all you Jazz Lovers for
helping us keep the music alive! ...Mark Holter |
