Awesome! Outstanding! Incredible! These are just a few words that come to mind when one listens to Mike Sunjka play guitar. Mike's playing continues to influence and inspire musicians all over. A native of Los Angeles, California, Mike was a regular on the L.A. jazz scene and toured extensively with Willie BoBo performing concerts coast to coast including Avery Fisher Hall in New York City's Lincoln Center.

After attending Berklee College in Boston, Mike moved to Houston whwere he has recorded extensively with Harry Shepherd on Justice Records and is a regular call of Kirk Whalum. Mike has also been featured with the Houston Symphony and the Symphony Pops. He is also a regular headliner at the Corpus Christi Jazz Festival, the Houston Jazz Festival and the Queen Mary Jazz Festival in Los Angeles.

Mike is Professor of Guitar at Houston Community College's Westchester Campus.
