| She woke
up to the annoying buzz of her alarm clock. Buzz...buzz...buzz...buzz... She groaned and
sat up to turn it off, then rubbed her eyes. Sighing, she got out of bed and went to
shower. Dressing herself in an old tee-shirt and some grungy looking but clean shorts, she
decided to watch a movie until he got there. Elisa smiled as she thought about him. Not may people could claim a boyfriend who can fly. Chuckling, she popped a tape in the VCR and settled down to wait for sunset. The movie she was watching got boring... Cagney began to meow, and finally Elisa turned it off and fed her cat, after putting a CD in the player. A light tapping on the window made her look up, and she smiled as Goliaths gaze met her own. "Hi, Goliath." she waved. He let himself in, and she poured milk for the cat, still smiling. Goliath had not known what to expect when he had come over to Elisas apartment, but it looked as if she had nothing special in mind, by the way she was dressed. The tee-shirt really did nothing for her figure, and the shorts she was wearing were kind of dingy. Goliath thought she was the most beautiful thing in the world. He listened for a moment to the singer whose voice drifted through the apartment softly. "Who is this?" he asked her. She glanced up, and walked over to him. "Ahhh, Celine Dion. Shes good, isnt she?" He nodded, studying her upturned face. Another song came on, and he watched as her face took on another expression. "This song always reminded me of us," she whispered. They stood close to one another, listening.
She had drifted closer to him, let her hands and head rest on his chest. He had somehow folded his arms and wings around her, and placed his hand on her hair. It felt right, somehow.
They began to sway with the music, lost in the moment.
Their eyes met, the shock of two souls touching leaving them breathless, so they did the one thing they could. They kissed.
Then, as the song finished and they came to a halt, he looked down at her, at those deep brown eyes, and thanked every deity that would listen for giving her to him. Running his talons through her hair, he said the words. "I am in love with you." Tears sprang up in her eyes, and she buried her face in his chest. "I love you too Goliath." Then she began to laugh, low in her throat. "What?" "If that was all it took to get you to finally say those words, I should have played that CD a long time ago." Their laughter mingled with the music, drifting outside to rest on the breeze and fill the city with the sounds of happiness.
