Cottman Transmission Systems, Inc., originally organized in 1962, franchises a system of repairing, remanufacuring and servicing automotive transmissions and related component parts to the public through locally owned and operated service centers. Cottman offers each independent business owner a comprehensive program of training, shop development, center management, technical support, nationwide warranty service and advertising throughout the United States and Canada.

Mr. Ronald Weiss, owner of the Pasadena, Texas, A-1 Auto Care/Cottman Transmission Center, is the Franchise Developer for the southwest region. Mr. Weiss began his association with Cottman in February, 1995, and has extensive experience in the transmission industry as an owner, operator and manager of transmission facilities. In his capacity as Franchise Developer for Cottman he screens, interviews and assists potential Cottman franchisees.
