Monday through Friday from Noon to 3:00 on KQUE AM1230. In a radio market where every
station sounds the same, KQUE is a refreshing oasis with an eclectic blend of tunes
spotlighting classic American pop. Ronnie
Renfrow, KQ's midday personality, brings you the same mix on the radio as the Ronnie
Renfrow Big Band performs, featuring cuts from his CD album, It's About Time. The
original Sunday "Ronnie Renfrow Show Featuring the Big Bands and More" was a
fixture on Houston radio for more than a decade.
As the new Music Director for KQUE, Ronnie guides the
music format for the station. Ronnie also serves on the Music Advisory Panel for the
Smithsonian Institution and has consulted on recordings for Smithsonian Records, CBS,
Sony, RCA Victor, Decca and the Reader's Digest, as well as music consulting with NBC, ABC
and PBS in New York.
